Presidential Inaugural Parade Trip
January 16-21, 2009 Washington, D.C.
Friday, January 16
6:30 PM Mandatory DRC- all must eat before departure. (Reg Rec)
7:30 PM Load buses at Logansport Gate
8:00 PM Depart campus for Washington D.C.
Saturday, January 17
8:00 AM Stop on interstate for fast food breakfast
11:00 AM Arrive at hotel
12:00 PM Stop for lunch
2:00 PM Check-in for rooms. Students are restricted to hotel today unless on permit/end at 5:30
4:00 PM Troops/Equestriennes- boot shining party outside (weather permissible)
6:00 PM Buffet dinner at hotel.
8:00 PM CQ held in rooms until 10:00 PM.
10:00PM Adult chaperones, Equest Captains, Squadron and unit commanders meet in hotel lobby to discuss Sunday’s events.

11:00 Lights out
Sunday, January 18
6:00 AM Horses depart Culver for Washington D.C.
7:00 AM Reveille
7:00 AM Buffet Breakfast available.
7:30 AM Buses depart for tour of Washington D.C. - Mandatory for ALL students
6:30 PM Reception Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
9:30 PM Buses depart for hotel
10:30 PM Adult chaperones, Equest captains, Sq and unit commanders meet in lobby to discuss Monday’s events.
11:00 TAPS and lights out
Monday, January 19
10:00 AM Reveille
8:30 AM Breakfast buffet at hotel for adults and early risers
11:00 AM Buses depart for lunch/ Equestrian Center
5:30 PM Depart Equestrian Center for hotel
6:00 PM Buffet dinner at hotel
6:00 PM-9:00 PM Permit time available with parents.
9:30 PM Adult chaperones, Equest Captains, SQ/unit commanders meet in lobby to discuss Tuesday’s events.
10:00 PM TAPS and lights out
Tuesday, January 20 Parade Day
4:00 AM Reveille
4:30 AM Breakfast buffet at hotel
5:30 AM Buses depart for Equestrian Center
All of the following is based on prior Inaugurals and is subject to change:
7:00 staging of convoy
8:30 from staging area to pre-assembly area
9:15 move to horse holding area- 45 minutes until buses and vehicles leave area
10:00 buses escorted from area to end of parade route
2:30 Parade begins (TENTATIVE)
5:00 Buses depart dispersal area for hotel
6:00 PM Very tentative due to heavy traffic leaving DC. Buffet dinner for those staying at hotel-Permits available until 11:00 PM-CQ time available for conscientious students
