Meet The Faculty
Richard Coven
Richard Coven joined the Culver Academies’ Fine Arts Department in 1997. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from San Jose State University. He went on to complete the three year conservatory program in Acting from the Acting Academy at LACC in Los Angeles and then received his Master of Arts degree in directing from Wayne State University. His areas of study and interest include 19th Century American drama, Acting, Directing, Film History and Criticism, Theatre History and Criticism and American History. He currently teaches Acting I and the Acting Workshops, and Film Study.
Mr. Coven works with his wife, Marsha, in producing the Academies’ main stage theatre productions as Director of Theatre as well as producing the Huffington Concert Series and Visiting Artist Series for the Academy.
