Based in the new Steinbrenner Performing Arts Center, Culver's dance program provides strong curricular and extracurricular offerings for both the performing dancer and the beginning level student.

Dance Workshop levels and individual studio instruction provide technical improvement in ballet and pointe, contemporary, and jazz movements. Dance for Athletes and Body Studies are popular coed classes for the general student population.

Dancevision is the Academies' audition-based performing group. Celebrating 30 years of operation, members participate in class and rehearse daily after school. Two unique concert performances are prepared annually, along with mini-performances at football and basketball games, Christmas Vespers, and all-school meetings. Performances are strongly supported and well attended by the Culver community.

The Visiting Artist program has allowed students to learn from dance professionals who spend a week on campus. Guest artists, including Broadway artists Ann Reinking, Eric Jordan Young, and Rick Pessagno, spend their time working with students and teaching them original choreography. Master instructors include Nick Pupillo of Chicago, who works with students on jazz and partner work. Performances by such notable groups as The Paul Taylor Dance Company, Complexions, The Suzanne Farrell Company, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, enrich and motivate students.

The Honors in Dance program allows senior students to prepare choreography for a public performance. The project entails creating a solo, useful in college auditions, and a group work for peers, which provides a unique leadership opportunity. Culver dancers feel the rewards of the program long after graduation.
