Digital Citizenship

In order to responsibly participate in the Culver Academies community and beyond, all new students are required to take Digital Citizenship.  The course is designed to help students incorporate 21st century skills which include critical thinking, effective communication, and rights and responsibilities in accessing and using information.  Emphasis is placed on ethical behavior online and understanding Culver's Honor Code and its application in the use of information and technology as a member of the Culver Academies community.  This course meets 1 day a week.

Innovation and Design
1 term, non-solid, ¼ credit, A

What makes a popular website, viral video or "killer app"? Communication? Graphics? Organization or manipulation of data? During this one term elective class, students will use critical thinking skills to explore the concepts of Innovation and Design in today's world. Students will do research, active reading, discussion and design proposals. Their final assignment will be creating a unique and authentic project, incorporating 21st century communication tools and skills.  This course meets 2 days a week.
