The team traveling to the Peoples’ Republic of China will deepen Culver’s exchange program with the Shanghai Foreign Language School. Highlights include:   attending classes at the school (with personal instruction on the art of Chinese Calligraphy);  riding the Magnetic Levitation Train at speeds exceeding 250 mph; a home stay in Shanghai; bullet trains to Beijing; shopping the world famous Silk Street Market (accommodating over 1700 venders); exploring the sites of the 2008 Olympic Games, the Forbidden City, as well as the Great Wall; boat rides on the beautiful West Lake of Hangzhou as well as along the Huangpu River of Shanghai; visiting Baosteel - the second largest steel producer in the world at a steel mill the size of a city; as well as building long lasting friendships with students and teachers throughout China.  Contact Mr. Eric Drake at Eric.Drake@culver.org">Eric.Drake@culver.org for more information.  Estimated cost is $3,500.
