Educational/Service/Cultural – CMA only trip

Considered "The Pearl" of South America, Buenos Aires has an intense cultural life where tango, long coffee klatches (A social gathering, esp. for coffee and conversation) and football (soccer) are essential elements of daily life. We invite you to visit, explore and enjoy this beautiful city with us this Spring Break. The Rugby Team will be embarking on a historical Mission Trip by fulfilling Culver’s Mission of Mind, Body, and Sprit. The Argentina Mission Team will be participating in community service projects with the city of Buenos Aires and the rural areas of Mar del Plata. We will be doing labor related projects at elementary schools while having plenty of time to socially interact with the school’s students and staff. The Mission’s primary job is service however the team will be practicing with and playing against youth teams in both areas. Something unique about this Mission is exposure to another countries military system. We will visit Lieco Naval Almirante Brown Military High School, receive a tour of Argentina’s Naval Academy and meet the Centro Naval Rugby Club. Team Argentina will have an opportunity to see the experience of a working Gaucho Ranch and a night out learning about the Tango!! This is a Cadet only Mission Trip. Cadets that do choose this mission will have the opportunity to learn how to play the sport of rugby and how it influences Argentine cultural. We have a limited number of spots open to parents.
