Motels
Adjacent to our campus and right on the lake are the Culver Motels. These motel units are available for use by parents, visitors, and guests of the Academies. Each room has everything you need for your stay. If you are coming to campus and need a place to stay, contact the Facilities office to check for availability and to reserve a room.
Barbershop
The Culver Academies Barbershop is available for all students to have their haircut, free of charge. Staff members and Culver parents are also welcome to get their haircut at the on campus barbershop for $8. The hours for the barbershop are:
Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
(closed 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for lunch)
Saturday – Sunday: CLOSED
During the summer, campers are also welcome to have their hair cut, free of charge. The summer hours for the barbershop are:
Monday, Tuesday and Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Woodcraft Camp Monday, Tuesday and Friday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Upper Camp Wednesday-Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Upper Camp
The barbershop is closed during all holidays and breaks.
Rental & Conference Services
All groups must provide a certificate of insurance to Culver for their stay. More detailed information regarding the insurance requirements will be addressed on a per group basis by the outside event coordinator. Some of the preliminary items that are essential in figuring costs and scheduling of facilities are noted below:
• Type of event
• Relationship to Culver
• Date of event, and the number of attendees
• Facilities needed for the event and the hours of operation
• Custodial services
• Housing requirements, if any are required
• Food Service requirements
• Technology requirements
• Transportation and parking requirements
• Security requirements
• Special needs (physical, dining, etc.)
• Laundry Services
• Special equipment requirements, fax, copier, phones, postal, audiovisual, etc.
• Chaperones
If you are interested in holding your next event in one of our buildings on campus or need to plan a meeting, event or conference here at the Culver Academies, please fill out this form and return it to our outside event coordinator by email, fax or mail. She will then be in touch with you within 48 hours to discuss your request.
