Johnnes Tulungen joined Culver Academies in 2006 and is an instructor in the Center for Leadership. He has a master’s degree in Development Studies, from Bogor Agricultural University and received a BA in Agriculture, from Sam Ratulangi University in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. His teaching and study interests include leadership, community development and environmental program/project management. He teaches the Servant Leadership Practicum for seniors. Before coming to Culver he spent more than 10 years as a program manager for a USAID project in coastal resources management implemented by the University of Rhode Island Coastal Resources Center, and has worked as a consultant and technical advisor for community development projects. Mr. Tulungen joined the Wellness Center in 2011 and coordinates the faculty and students wellness program. Mr. Tulungen is married to Catherine B. Tulungen, an instructor in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, and has two sons both of whom are came to Culver Academies, Ian ('11) and Paul.
