Getting Started
Goal Consultation:
This is an opportunity for you to meet with a certified personal trainer absolutely free of charge! This session is used for you to discuss any and all of your goals, questions, or concerns relating to fitness and wellness. We recommend all fitness center participants have a goal consultation prior to starting an exercise program. This is done to ensure that you receive a quality personal fitness program and are medically ready for exercise. Your health and well-being is always our highest priority!
Standard Assessment:
If this is the first time you are getting a fitness assessment and/or you are just looking for basic knowledge on your current level of fitness, this is the assessment for you. You do not have to be “in shape” to do it, and the results are kept confidential. The tests used in this assessment include body composition, biking, walking, or jogging, sit-ups, push-ups, and some flexibility. Schedule by contacting the front desk at (574)842-7074.
Skin fold Assessment:
Body composition is the distribution of fat and lean body mass. And so the skin fold body composition assessment reflects both your physical activity and dietary practices. A skin fold assessment takes about five minutes and you will receive a print out of your information.
Equipment Orientation:
Equipment Orientations consist of an introduction to the different pieces of equipment including how they work and how they can be adjusted to fit you personally. These appointments can be scheduled for an individual or in groups (2-6 people). Equipment orientations are 30 to 45 minutes in length so call (574)842-7074 to schedule your orientation.
Strength Program Design:
This free service is a test for muscle strength. Our fitness staff will take you through a complete line of weight equipment and find the weight that is best for you to use when lifting. All muscle groups are included and the results will allow for a more efficient muscle toning workout! This feature will take 90 minutes to complete; you can make an appointment by calling (574)842-7074 or by stopping by the fitness desk.
