Muslim Prayer
Fridays,
3:15 p.m. Huffington Presentation Room
Friday afternoon prayer is a longstanding Islamic practice and required of all Muslims throughout the world. Each Friday, Muslim students and those who choose this gathering will meet for a special worship service called jumu‘ah or “the assembly.” Washings, prayers and a sermon given in Arabic (concerning Muslim life and practice) will be features of this gathering. A student will provide leadership each week. Women will be asked to wear a head scarf and long skirt or pants. For more information, contact Mrs. Cathy Tulungen, Faculty Advisory, at
